New to celebrancy or need a refresher (3 hours)

Celebrancy is a multi-faceted profession and requires not just the legal knowledge to complete all the necessary forms and conduct a valid ceremony, but also the necessary skills to running a successful small business - people skills, sales skills and marketing.  Although theoretical, the course is written with many years of combined practical knowledge. The course will deliver the knowledge and useful tools and resources for those new to celebrancy and, possibly, reignite the passion and a fresh outlook for the celebrancy industry with those celebrants who already have an established celebrancy business. Participants will have the opportunity to review the completion of all legal documentation and how they can be received in an online environment, together with a sound, constructive overview with the tools and the skills (business set-up; marketing; people; interviewing  and sales) necessary to confidently move forward from the initial couple’s enquiry to enable them to then plan, prepare and conduct a unique, inspirational, professional wedding ceremony.

Working with people with disability – inclusion and etiquette (2 hours)

This course provides celebrants with both the information and resources for better communication for people with disability.18.3% (or approximately 3.96 million) people in Australia have a disability and communication is an important right for all Australians. Sometimes people with disabilities have the need for supports due to complex communication needs and celebrants require the basic knowledge to effectively and respectfully communicate with clients with a disability.
